Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Reseller Inventory App operated by Joshua Berry handles information when used to manage inventory and connect with eBay through OAuth.
Information We Collect
The application may store information you enter or upload, including:
- Inventory item details such as SKU, title, description, category, brand, condition, price, quantity, cost, dimensions, weight, and pickup notes.
- Uploaded item photos and generated thumbnails.
- Marketplace listing details such as platform name, listing URL, listing ID, listing status, listed date, sold date, platform price, estimated fees, and notes.
- Local operational data such as sold status, delisting checklists, stale inventory warnings, exports, imports, and backups.
eBay OAuth Information
If you connect the application to eBay, eBay may provide OAuth authorization data such as an authorization code, access token, refresh token, token expiration time, and authorized scopes. This information is used only to allow the application to access eBay APIs that you authorize.
The application does not ask for or store your eBay password. eBay login and consent are handled by eBay through OAuth.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- Create and manage reseller inventory records.
- Prepare listing titles, descriptions, prices, and manual cross-posting workflows.
- Track listed, sold, delisted, and needs-delisting statuses across platforms.
- Support authorized eBay listing, order, and delisting workflows.
- Create local exports, reports, and backups requested by the user.
Data Sharing
The application does not sell personal information. Information is shared with eBay only when you authorize eBay OAuth access and only as needed to use eBay API features. Manual marketplace platforms such as Mercari, OfferUp, and Facebook Marketplace are not automatically connected by this application.
Local Storage and Security
This application is designed for local inventory management. Inventory data, uploaded photos, and backups may be stored on the computer or server where the application is installed. You are responsible for protecting access to that computer, server, database, uploaded files, backups, and environment files.
API credentials, OAuth tokens, and secrets should be stored only in environment variables or another secure secret storage system. They should not be committed to source control.
Data Retention
Inventory records, photos, reports, and backups are retained until you delete them. eBay OAuth tokens should be deleted when you disconnect eBay access or uninstall the application.
Your Choices
You may:
- Delete inventory items and uploaded photos from the application.
- Delete local exports and backups from your computer or server.
- Disconnect eBay OAuth access from the application.
- Revoke the application's access from your eBay account settings.
Third-Party Services
eBay's use of information is governed by eBay's own privacy policy and user agreements. This application is not responsible for the privacy practices of eBay or any other third-party marketplace.
Children's Privacy
This application is not intended for use by children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
